E-Government Solutions – Using Mapping Technologies to Improve Citizen Services

This session will highlight how two North Carolina municipalities are using location intelligence to provide better services to their constituents.  The Town of Cary will demonstrate how they incorporate MapXtreme into their Maps Online application to help citizens answer questions about city issues such as current development, voting locations, city service schedules and crime tracking.  Cumberland County will show how interactive maps are used for county planning projects, locating sex offenders and address verifications for their E911 program.
