Taking a Long Term View of Branch Network Performance - Featuring KeyBank
Wednesday May 21, 2008 at 2:30 PM
With the significant capital outlay associated with de novo expansion and average annual operating expenses of $500,000 per unit, financial institutions must take a long term view of its branch distribution network. This view should include financial justification for each tactic, whether expansion or contraction, as well as a prioritization of capital resources to individual sites as well as markets. This session will describe techniques used to evaluate tactics that lead to the development of an optimal network configuration. It will include a discussion of KeyBank's efforts to prioritize its network optimization/rationalization efforts within and across markets.
